Could be any one of a million unusual farm implements:-) Realistically, I don't think that there is any way to tell unless the person or parking lot that caused the damage is talking:-)

I think its been "pressed" somehow , its an interesting diamond pattern.

Maybe one of those meat tenderising hammers/mallets , they often have a criss cross pattern which might produce that diamond effect.

I agree with Bill. Could be nearly anything. Point, though, is that it's damaged and worth exactly one cent.
