I have six of the inverted ball serif and that is not it but you can wait to see what the others will say .
i normally don't don't say nothing but I know about this one I have searched many 46 s rolls for the inverted s so I got the mint marks burned into my head

Thanks co. I really can't tell but I understand that the ball end should be on top and the vacant space inside the lower loop of the S should be bigger. Anyway let's wait for the experts. Here's another pic.

Here is a couple images of the inverted mint marks. I question yours as being one. An image of the whole date and mint mark might help. Then an overlay could be made.

Looking again with the different types of serifs from this year it appears to be the wrong type to be a ball serif inverted.

Thanks coop. That's as far as my QX5 can do. I can't get the whole date and mark in one shot. Do you have any markers for the #2 image with the weak 46?

At first I thought you were asking if the picture was inverted. A little more rotation and it would be.1946-S-With-An-Inverted-S?

junjie, your first picture clearly shows that you have the serif style mint mark. Just wear and tear on the die.
