Interesting, but I don't really understand the "Bridge" motif. There's nothing uniquely Danish about bridges. The Viking artifacts on the back make more sense.

Maybe they tried to imitate the Euro with common designs? oh well, at least the hologram is interesting.

Well the bridges featured are in Denmark so why not? As for the portraits featured on their last banknote issues:
Karen Blixen (wasn't she one of Santa's reindeers?)?
Carl Nielsen (heard of him).
J L Heidberg?
Niels Bohr (and him).
A & M Ancher?
Apologies to any Danish members.

Yeah, that's true. Plus, I think they look better than the old series. That one looks like they are covered in gargoyles from Notre Dame.

By the way, thai-vic, are the commemorative notes (like the 16 baht note for the Kind) issued at face value?

Hi wd1040
Definitely NO. Can't remember how much I paid (at the local bank) but I think it was about 10x the face value for that one. Then again I can't see the local store accepting the whole sheet as a payment. Other commemorative notes are usually 2x or 3x the face value but the banks hereabouts are cagey about bulk purchases.

Hi thai-vic

I remember having a thai bankonote not sure if it was 10,20 or 50 baht, given to me by a guest that had the king on the note and the queens watermark. He said it was a special issue and not an error. Anyway, I don't know where I placed it, meaning I lost it
