Thermo Art Plastics is a company that made these plaques. They're dated 1970. The $20 has a bank products company sticker on it, so I assume it came out of a bank somewhere. I have not been able to gather much info on the company or the products, but I keep trying. I'll post some pictures hopefully tonight. Oh, made a mistake in first post. I bought the $20 at a book store, not on ebay. It was my first acquisition, and got me looking for more.

You should walk into a store and try to spend it - see what they say!

WOW! That thing is 16 inches across! Do they make them smaller? and how much do they go for if you don't mind my asking? And one last thing.......A great big to the forum.

It's about 16 inches in diameter. All the plaques in the series are to-scale, so the Lincoln Cent is about 11 inches, and the Peace dollar is about 26 inches. I've never put them all together in one place but will eventually and it will be a big display!

I've seen smaller plaques but not from this company. Pricing has been variable. I paid $20 for the $20, and about $50 for the Peace dollar. I have several Lincoln Cents, and paid anywhere from $11 to $25 for them. Some folks will say I am crazy and way overpaid, but oh well, I like them. Also, I have the reverses of the Lincoln Cent (Wheat) and the Buffalo nickel, but don't know how many others have reverses available. If they all do, I am going to spend the rest of my life searching for these at the rate I am going!

Because you like them is the BEST reason to collect them. As for price, if you are happy with the price then they are a good buy. I collect older coin wrappers that had the bank names imprinted on them. Most folks throw them away but they are little pieces of history to me and I love them. Are they valuable? Probably only to ME! Good luck in your quest to find the rest of the set.

But imagine if your pants were large enough for several of those how much you would weigh. How about some photos of all of them together? Reminds me of those drink coasters they used to sell of each type of coin. All were the same size though.
