I dont know a thing about cents but it doesn't look damaged to me, it looks either like crud got into the reverse dies ir that D was double struck, I have no clue really but will await to see what the experts say. There are 4 marks there, 2 large, and 2 smaller ones. I think whatever did those also moved some metal around in the D. MM Report this Post to the Staff

So if in damaged it was the counter from the bank? I was just browsing through it pretty fast and I had to do a double take on that one. I am normally not one to point out spelling mistakes, cuz I am sure I have quite a few, but there is one part is reads really bad if you just do some selective reading like I was doing.
