I too think the Roosevelt dime is a sleeper, I also would agree that for some time this coin is a change waiting to happen, maybe swap the obverse with the well received, and loved, Walk softly but carry a big stick, Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt.

This might not sit well with the advocates trying to get him on the National Park Quarters!

I think it depends on how and what you collect. If you are going for high graded slabs, then some of these can be expensive but if you are going for a common coin found in circulation, then yes, they are a little overlooked. I started my set about a year ago and have not put a lot of time or thought into it and have tried to get everything I can from circulation or bank rolls. I figured that I have put only about 15-20 hours into it have found almost everything that is not a proof coin in circulation. Now, my coins are not high grade, but I have found it a lot easier to collect over anything else (especially my cents).

I think that the reason I have not put a lot of effort into these is because I can pick them up so cheap and think that they will always be that way. Now that I said that, they will most likely change the design and people will be selling them for 20x face value like the cents. I still find it fun to search through rolls of dimes and just this week found a 1962 in EF+ condition. Now it is not worth a lot, but still a great find for me.
