Could anyone please tell me what weight an Italian 5 lire should be,i have one that is dated 1842,worried it might be a forgery,anyone? ple ASE

1842 is before the unification of Italy, so I suppose it is from Sardinia (or perhaps another Italian State?)
Nevertheless, a 5 lire coin should weigh exact 25 grams (and is normally struck in 0.900 silver)

Thanks bart this weighs 24.9 grams and is absolutely mint,i wondered whether it might be a fake,it has the words 'fert" around the rim about three times
