I love errors/varieties/ doubling of all types. I even like the look of your everyday Machine Doubling.

Anyway, I was about to toss this awful coin into a junk bin so it will stay out of my way when I noticed that it has some doubling on it. So even though its fake it has now become a keeper.

Aren't I weird? lol

That is awesome.

Problem is now you are doomed by it. Doomed to keep it since you have a soft spot for it. Most all of us have a nerve that gets poked when we see a deliberate fake but it IS a cool coin.

"Made-in-China" replica coins yanked from ebay!

The Mpinties have gotten their way.
About 2-1/2 weeks after a meeting with online auction giant ebay,
"made-in-China replica Canadian coins have been puulled from the site!
while searches of the site on July 8 turned up hundreds of replica Canadian coins from sellers in china, the lors were no where to be found since, the following day.
Over the past year, several China-based entities had been selling "replica key date Canadian cions through ebay. while usuallyadvertised on the site as replica coins, the actual coins often did not have any markijgs to advertise them as such.
Since any Canadian coin struck since 1858 is considered legal tender, the replicas aredeemed counterfeit coins by the RCMP.
Even Newfoundland coins. which date back to 1864, are still legal tender on the rock.
There is more to the article, but I have only posted this much.
The stamped coins which are not only produced in China, but by U.S. companies sjch as the Maryland Mint, are also considered counterfeit, despite the presence of the word "copy" on the coin,RCMP Sgt. Tony Farabakhchian said.
