When the two dies do not line up perfectly, the obverse can be slightly off center (the coin seats over the reverse die, hence you will never see a coin slightly off on the reverse but not the obverse). biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 08/10/2009 7:08 pm Misaligned die(MAD) strike with the centered reverse being the key, it is usually common and not worth any premium. However, your example is so badly misaligned that the top of LIBERTY and the date is missing and that is what it takes for this to become a wanted error. Not quite sure of an exact value but probably $5 or less. Report this Post to the Staff
