Found this a an antique show up in St Joesph Mi.
It was just laying there in the jewelry case they had no idea what they were, suspected they are "some kind of coins" and they "might be silver"

Regretfully the smallest one in the set is missing, which is, I hear, the most expensive and the hardest to find.

The best part, I got it for only $8.00.

Just had to brag!

nice!

I made one coin-necklace like this when I was little. Only difference (big difference I may add) is the coins are quarters. But anyways, I had fun and I was soooo proud of myself. Haha.

Very nice! Do the bezels damage the coins in any way?

Very nice. Can you post a picture of the other side? From what I can tell from seeing only one side they look OK and are from small to big, PE, MU, MAT, and KYAT silver coins from Burma circa 1850's worth more than the $8 you paid.

Doesn't look like it, the bezels look like they are wrapped around the coin's outside and secured by the loop. One day I may decide to cut them out, but for now I see no harm in leaving them in the bracelet.

Here's the reverse side.
Yes, they are Burmese kyats, just missing the smallest denomination of the set.

Look-What-I-Found!

I have seen complete sets of 5 listed far up to $5-600.00
