Poll Question
I opened up one of my rolls so I could finally look at the preciouses that I was hauling around all day I would like to make them available to forum members for a reasonable price but what is reasonable? All of you get to tell me what reasonable will be and a poll will be the final arbiter. The final value will be for a pair of the newest P minted Lincoln cents, hand selected by me for eye quality(no roadkills or heavy spotted), and it will include shipping and each coin will be in a 2x2. Obviously, if would like to purchase a pair from me, it would be advantageous to vote for your own self interest. Even if you do not want to buy any, feel free to vote anyway, I won't discriminate

How-Much-Should-I-Charge-For-Professional-Life-Cents?

Poll Choices
 $1 cash
trade for melt value silver dime(no culls)
 $2 cash
trade for melt value two silver dimes
trade for melt value silver quarter

no thanks, I will get my first example from a bank/change

edit- (sounded like a lecture so I removed it)

What would YOU pay? I voted a buck. It is easy and lets everyone win without kicking you in the shorts.

Sorry...It still looks like a penny to me.
I've learned a long time ago, when the hoarders and scalpers can't move their product, they blow it out for cost.
If I ever decide to get these it will be graded...maybe it will hold at least some value.

RFB brings up a good point and I will address that, I am not trying to make money on the pairs but there is still an inherent cost to shipping coins. Anyone who has purchased coins from me knows how I ship them, in a first class envelope with a rigid coin mailer insert. Postage for a nonmachinable envelope(rigid) is 64 cents, the coin mailers are about 10-15 cents, and then another 10 cents or so for the 2x2s and envelope so you get the idea of my actual out-of-pocket costs

Although I would not be interested in buying, I feel like $1-2 seems pretty reasonable seeing the costs involved.

I'm personally not a big fan of LMC, but thats just me. I will wait and find mine in circulation.

I have some pretty ones to look at in my proof set.

Just my opinion.

Somehow I find a silver dime more attractive than a dollar, but I will just wait for them to flow down to circulation...

By the way, if I was in your position, I would try and get rid of them as soon as possible at the highest price. They're just pennies. Rather put that money into some silver or palladium...

Bio, and anyone else out there that is curious about this post. The demand from collectors and non-collectors alike is great. I say you should get whatever the market will bare.

I saw a box of P mints listed for sale here a day or so ago for a mere $150 shipped . You are putting a lot of expense just into packing alone. You should get your money back out of the deal plus a small profit for your time and effort.

I voted $1. That's fair and covers your shipping and the cost of the 2x2's.

When I did my big Formative Years giveaway from the Lincoln City release, I did SASE and a trade (any trade) - so it cost someone 88 cents and whatever they had to trade. (I had a blast with this BTW). $1 is a good deal also. Put me down if you go through with it!

Since I in the UK, I would be willing to pay rate for the folks in the US plus the additional postal costs to get the coin to me (or supply an alternate that is in the US).

At coin shows the highest price I've seen so far is $1 each in a 2x2. I've also seen them for as low as $0.40 each. One dealer orders or acquires these every year and sells them all the time at coin shows. They do the same with all denominations. If your a steady customer, the prices are a little less.
