I'm not sure why but I can't find any listing for the Marshall Islands in the Standard Catalog of World Coins (any ideas why not?) so I'm turning to you fine coin experts (notice the flattery yet?) for aid. If at all possible, I'd like to know the price, silver content and size. And thanks in advance.

Here's the coin below. It's a 1994 Marshall Islands $50 silver coin.

Jennifer

This is (or was) Marshall Islands 50 dollars KM#154, containing 1 ounce of 0.9990 silver.

The coins of the Marshall Islands used to be listed in the Standard Catalog of World Coins. After problems of redeeming those coins at the Central Bank of the Islands, the coins of the Marshall Islands are considered no longer legal tender. I think they're now listed in the Unusual World Coins catalog.

About the redemption of Marshall Islands Coins I found this article : http://www.coinbooks.org/esylum_v09n18a24.html

Bart,

Does your catalog list the price? I'm still working on getting Unusual World Coins.

Thanks Bart. You're a godsend! My fiance loves this coin so I wanted to make sure I wasn't overbidding on it by too much. So knowing a base value, even if it's a little outdated, is very helpful.
