I can't seem to find any cotton gloves to fit my O.J. sized hands (If I ever go to court for anything, "they must aquit"). Can I use latex gloves instead? Surgical types?

G'day, yes. The purpose of the glove is to prevent transfer of sweat from skin to coin. Even a miniscule amount of sweat can damage a high-grade coin: not such a problem with lower grades.
The only problem with latex gloves, or the talcum that is sometimes inside them, is that it/they irritate the skin. Cotton is less likely to do that.

I can stick to the powder-free ones. I see this question has been answered a couple times (at least) here, so next time I'll read some older posts first ...thanks everyone!
