I just picked up a series 1928 A One Hundred New York from my bank. It is not in the best condition probably VG. Is there any value over face.

Cool notes. Hard not to like a note that reads redeemable in gold on it.

The series 28 does have some higher priced notes for sure, but condition makes or breaks them. Pristine definatley has a market, for circulated like you describe yours figure about 5-15% over face IF YOU CAN FIND A BUYER.

Cool note, but not an expensive note unless in really great shape. Who knows, maybe in 30 years.....otherwise no.

Easy 5%-15% premium, IF YOU CAN FIND A BUYER. A very nice find nonetheless!

You are right. I can't just spend it with it having the word GOLD on it.

Yep, yer stuck with it now. Bright side is there is no harm in keeping it. As long as budget allows.
