If anyone has time, I was looking at these nickels this seller has for sale.
Once you get to this auction. Please take a look at the others.

Do these look shined up in some way to you?
Something looks odd to me.

Some of his stuff looks a bit off but some of it looks just fine. My guess is his lighting.

The lighting and the holder seem to be the biggest factor. If you think it does not look right, then do not pay more than you think it is worth. If you really want it, then buy it. The one advantage you have is that the seller has over 1000 transactions is at 100% rating so if you had to return it I think you could.

By the time I read this, the seller had NO other auctions running. It could be lighting or his inability to use the camera correctly, but I'll tell you this: I HATE it when a seller says "I'm not a grader". To me, that's just a little insurance policy he has taken out so that when you get a polished coin he can use that as his defense...

Thanks everyone, I opted to let the coins go I was watching. I'll check back. They looked ( too ) nice.
Maybe they are good ones, I dunno.

I'm not exactly the final authority, but I know a bit about coin photography and those shots scream, "POLISHED!" to me.

That's a what I thought SuperDave. Some were not but most looked really weird. Thanks everyone for the help.
I was watching a 46D nickel and I thought it might be a variety but it went too high to gamble.

Having bought collections that had polished coins in them, I'd have to agree 100% with SuperDave.

If you have an ebay account and are signed in, check out completed listings on that seller

Having 100% FB and happy customers, just makes me glad for a forum like this where we can be more educated than those who are out there happily buying fakes and doctored coins on ebay without any clue.
