I think that it is one beautiful coin with a lot of luster for the variety. I also think that you dont need it anymore and that you should give it to me.

Well, I'd like to get it slabbed. But which TPG would be the best bet for getting a good grade and maintaining value?

It seem like PCGS has the best reputation. If PCGS would indeed be the best, how much does it cost, and how do I send it in safely? Also, packaging wise, do I send it in the 2x2 I have it in now, or buy an air-tite for it?

Thanks for the grading advice... keep them coming! It's by far my most beautiful coin, and I think the pictures pick up the luster well. It might even look a bit more defined in person!

I agree the photos show an MS-65 candidate. PCGS would be my first choice for grading. You will need to join their collector society at a minimum Silver level for about $50 to get submission privileges. Then the grading fee for this coin should be in the $30 to $50 range and you will need to pay insured shipping both ways. Check their website for all the information you need including packaging instructions. I believe you can fill out and print an online submission form once you log on as a Collector's Society member.

You might want to have a good dealer check the coin for any problems that would cause a low or no-grade outcome. If you do submit it, be sure to share the results when the coin comes back. It really does look like a gem.

I'm guessing a 64 due to the very light marks on the cheek, neck and in the reverse fields.

If it slabs problem-free by PCGS or NGC, you've got a $1,000 coin at least. 63 would be a absolute minimum grade and like the other members noted, it has a shot at 65 which would be a jackpot!
