I was flipping through the cable guide when I got home looking for something to watch in between innings of Cardinal Baseball and I came across a show on the Travel Channel called "Extreme Mega Factories" and it is featuring the US Mint tonight and another favorite from my childhood, LEGO. The show is on at 7pm Central(8pm EST) and repeats at 12am EST. I have no idea what exactly it will show because this is a new episode.

TiVo would have been great for this show. I have never seen an episode from this series and my cable guide led me to believe that the show was just on the US Mint and LEGO but it featured a number of other things as well

The Mint segment started the second half hour of the show and was about 6-7 minutes long. A few of the interesting things shown were a demonstration of the CAD software used by Mint artists, the ballistic pallets that replaced the old mint bags, and the metal stock coils. It just left me wanting more...

I felt the same way - The coil part was cool though.

I've been waiting and hoping for them to replay the "Secrets of the US Mint" and "The World's Mightiest Financial Institution" for a long time. I can watch those over and over again. I caught the show last night, and it was good but way too short.
