I have a bunch of SLQs that have no dates. Are there any methods to restoring the dates like vinegar does nickels?

We've had a few threads on this, but I can't find it right now. Probably archived. I've been trying different methods, but so far nothing has worked on dateless SLQs. I've tried peroxide, formaldehyde, strong acid, strong base, iodine and a few other things. Some stain the coin badly, but nothing comes up int he date area.

I was reading a very old Coin World article recently that mentioned a product called "Silv-A-Date", that supposedly restored dates to silver. The article stated that the product did not work. But, seems somebody once tried to make something that would!

From that famous period in time when the US Mint used ink for dates.
