mycrob Pillar of the Community United States 2602 Posts	Posted 08/26/2009 6:38 pm We've had a few threads on this, but I can't find it right now. Probably archived. I've been trying different methods, but so far nothing has worked on dateless SLQs. I've tried peroxide, formaldehyde, strong acid, strong base, iodine and a few other things. Some stain the coin badly, but nothing comes up int he date area. Report this Post to the Staff
copper nickel daddy Pillar of the Community United States 2224 Posts	Posted 08/26/2009 7:15 pm I was reading a very old Coin World article recently that mentioned a product called "Silv-A-Date", that supposedly restored dates to silver. The article stated that the product did not work. But, seems somebody once tried to make something that would! Report this Post to the Staff
