It's always a thrill to find a Buffalo roaming amongst my Jefferson's ....... my find tonight is a nice 1936-P ... sorry for the poor photos ....

Search-Update-.....-Buffalo-#8-Found-Tonight

This is Buffalo #8 found during my 'quest' to complete the circulation-strike Jefferson series from rolls.

So far .... 76,800 coins searched (1,920 rolls) ...... so a Buffalo is not 'rare' but an exciting find every 240 rolls on average.

When I find a 'special' ..... well ..... I usually run around the house ...... shouting to the family to come look at what I have found ..... and this time was no different.

What can I say ..... I am now an addict.

I suppose some of you can relate to this feeling?

Best

David

Yeah! I did the same thing when I pulled a Franklin out of my first box of halves!

I can certainly relate to the feeling! Let me guess, the family looks at you all funny and wonders why you are excited about some old worn coin?

Although I have yet to find a Buffalo while searching Jeffersons, whenever I find a "special" nickel and show it to my wife, all she says is "It's just a nickel".
