Found this in a bag of wheats I got from the local Flea market , Although its a minor error, It feels good to have actually found something for once though, hehe. (Unless its post-mint damage)

I was also wondering, How much might this type of error be worth? I'm guessing somewhere in the 1$ to 5$ range.

Thanks!

Looks real. The blakesley affect is seen on the obverse. Probably right on price. It just depends where two people start a bidding for it on an auction.

It's a genuine curved clip. The term "die clip" is not used for such planchet defects. A "die clip" is the same as a "strike clip" and such errors are produced during the strike, rather than the blanking process.

The planchet is incomplete before it enters the coining chamber. many people call these incomplete planchet errors.

This occurs when blanks are not properly cut from the metal, coining strip during that part of the process.
