Okay, here's another question. What is a red penny,how did it become red and why do people collect them?

"RED" is used to state the color of a penny which means it hasnt toned, it is in its first stage of mint still like a new penny, the older a penny gets and is in the enviroment it will turn brown. If you have a old "red" penny it means it was taken care of (not really "red" just the original copper color) that is why they are worth more than a brown coin
