How much of a premium do people typically want to pay for a common date morgan with mirror like fields? Is there a great resale market for them if I decide to sell it? I saw an 1882-S yesterday and although it was only MS-63, the reverse was absolutely stunning. I've not got much experience with proof-like Morgans, but this thing was practically blinding. I'm seriously considering going back to the store and buying it. The one I was looking at yesterday was raw.

All Prooflike Morgans carry more or less of a premium, but the coin must show that characteristic on both faces for it to actually merit the designation. A coin which is Prooflike or DMPL on one face shouldn't cost a lot more than its' usual grade value, but it does have a certain interest factor.
Rest in Peace

Yeah, like Dave said, both sides need to be proof like in order to get the designation from a top TPG, although I have seen ANACS give the designation to only one side in some cases. Bryan's Morgan has an obverse only DMPL designation from ANACS. If you look at his last page with the inserts. http://home.roadrunner.com/~kbr1315...sco7070.html
(I've looked at his type set so many times I almost have it memorized...pretty sad.)

Anyways, I think it is worth more than the norm if one side is PL, but not as much as if both sides were.

SuperDave sums it up pretty well. The reverse being killer won't add much, if anything, to the coins value like the obverse would have. If I could offer a suggestion to anyone buying their first dmpl it would be to buy one already certified by pcgs (with a blue label) and go for an ms64 or higher (in most dmpl's ms63 or lower, the mirrors tend to accentuate any flaws and make the coin look lower than the actual grade). PCGS sets the standard in dmpl's, and you would be able to compare any further purchases to what one should really look like. JMHO.

Thanks for the feedback hadleydog. I think having a reference point like that will help me out a lot.
