I'd say he is trying to sell $1.50 worth of common wheats for $8.00 with the "alluring" element of being truly unsearched.(yeah right) Pretty sad.
edit- feedback isn't too bad on the seller for these. Recently a 1909-s was found, though it is highly possible it was a shill. The fact is 99% of these listings have been searched so it's not really worth the risk.

Another fairy tale! I don't believe in unsearched wheats, especially on ebay! There are only wheats, seeded wheat & well seeded wheat rolls! IMHO

I, personally, wouldn't waste my time. It is fun to search through a large collection of coins (I have bought these "unsearched" auctions in the past) but rare coins are rarely found in these bundles. For 2 reasons: 1. These rolls are rarely "unsearched". 2. And Rare/Key coins are just that; RARE! You don't find them everywhere! This has been my 2 Cents worth...

I think anything sold in bulk has been sorted through. Someone had to dump the coins in that keg, then spead them out on the floor, then take multiple pics with a couple shinny valuable coins sticking out in the mix, so I would bet they have looked at them atleast 3 times by this point. No one I can think of would place a Trade dollar, Seated halves ect in with circulated Washington quarters and sell as a unsearched lot. Then during packaging they could remove the nice ones and blame it on chance that all you received were melt value silver. He received feedback from someone saying it wasn't all it was cracked up to be...you decide. Think about it, If you had a 55 gallon barrel full of silver and were sell it in lots of 8oz...you dip out 8 oz worth and find yourself staring at a XF 1889 CC Morgan...do you add it to the mix and just chalk it up to being chance it was sold by you for $150 along with $120 melt in silver? or would you swap it with a nice AU common date? If your motive is profit, most would sell the nice pieces individually and leave the culls and junk for bulk lots.

About eight cents ea, but if you get one you can use, it makes a big difference, overall. I know where Surprise, AZ. is, and it is a wide spot in the road, goingNorth, out of Phoenix. If there are 50 people there, it wmust be a wedding, or a funeral! I don't recall if I biought from him, or not. I tried a roll, and will let you know. sometimes you can be very pleasantly surprised, instead of 'forever seeing the SOS"! My theory is, "you may "steal" one chicken out of my hen-house, but never two"! Dick

Quote: Recently a 1909-s was found, though it is highly possible it was a shill. Yeah...I've seen a plethora of these ebay auctions, peppered with testimonials that a buyer found something valuable like a 09-S, 22 plain, or 14-D, etc. As if sellers just give coins away. It's well-documented how people collude to bolster their feedback. Whatever it takes to sell scrap wheats for 5X retail.

after looking at his feedback it seems everyone is mostly finding 40's and 50's in the rolls with a sporadic teens and 20's and IHC. Quote: Are silver lots the same story? all unsearched lots are the same, most of them have been searched to death and after they sell allot of lots they throw in a semi key date in the mix and some lucky person may find it and report it on their feedback to boost more sales. The only truly unsearched coins are in sealed bags any other you have to say atleast one person sorted through them even if they were the original owner, and I know if I had a lot of coins I wouldn't keep my key dates along with the other common date coins, they would go in 2x2's or somewhere else
