Is this worth keeping? You can makme out a small part of the reverse and a faint outline of the obverse. From what I can tell (looking at the coin head on) it looks like lady liberty and she's facing to the right. You can just barely make it out in the picture. So is this worth holding onto?

Looks like a 1793 Strawbwrry leaf to me, I'd hang on to it.

Sorry, forgot to say Even if it not a strawberry leaf, it still dates pre 1808 if she is facing right.

It's gotta be a Draped Bust cent, minted from 1796 to 1807. It has little value in this grade although it is a nice conversation piece. If you are interested in having a readable example of this type you can find one for $50 or less, depending on how much damage and/or corrosion you are willing to tolerate. Personally, I'd donate this coin to a young collector and hunt down a better one for my collection.
