Poll Question
I was just curious as to which type of coin wrapper you prefer and or use?

I find pre-formed a lot easier to mess with when I'm in a hurry.

If cost doesn't matter then pre-formed

I always use flat since they are easier to store.

Pre-formed, much easier to work with.

I agree with General Tso, flat are much easier to store. Also, my bank gives them to me for free.

Flat is free at the bank, so I vote for flat. However, I do yearn for one of those twister deals that seals the ends to look like bank wrap.

I stopped rolling in bulk a long time ago when I switched to a machine.
When I did roll, I would use flat rolls, free from the bank and super cheap if you buy them in bulk. The premium on preformed rolls is outrageous in my opinion.

I don't even see flat wrappers at Wal-mart anymore...just those pre-formed ones that I also feel are overpriced.

Neither: Plastic coin tubes! They're re-usable, and you can take the coins in and out of them anytime you want. I use them with the Quarters and Dollar coins that I spend, it keeps them separate from the other coins. Not to mention the issues with long-term storage of zinc Cents in paper rolls, or possibly with any coins in high-humidity areas...

I don't think coin tubes would be economical for taking rolled changed to the bank.

Quote: TheForce: "I don't think coin tubes would be economical for taking rolled changed to the bank." They are, if you empty the coins out at the counter and take the tubes back home with you! Fortunately, my bank still has a coin sorting machine that members can use for free, so any change that I take to the bank is in containers... (a rare occasion, I spend most of my coins)

I can see the ease of use for using pre-formed rolls but I don't think the cost justifies buying them.

I like the preforms best. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find preformed rolls for halves.

The flats are still free at the bank and so much easier to store. I do have a sorter that I have to use pre-formed with.
