You can count on this grade to be a pure guestimate. I think larger pics would be alot better. What are the green spots on the coin? Looks AU50 Could be better I think with bigger pics? All All I can say is that she is dreamy. I love the tone on it. gots that crusty look. Sure is a sweetie. Congrats on that baby.

I'm seeing some wear on both arms, breast and down the center of the skirt on the obverse. On the reverse I see some light wear on the chest feathers and down the left leg. I'd grade this as EF-40. Very nice first year of the series.

I'm splitting the difference with XF45.

I also see what appears to be PVC on both the obverse and reverse (dark green spots). If it is you need to get that in an acetone bath pronto.

Based on the formal listed grading parameters for this particular coin, it's all about skirt lines. The pics are too small and skirt lines not evident so it's a VG8, if you can magnify pic and show clear skirt lines, then you've got a higher grade of F12-Fine

I think the skirt line requirements are relaxed for the earlier dates in the series. Even Unc examples of the early dates can have faint or absent lines. I think this coin is strong for EF-45 and possible for AU-50. I also would use acetone on it, just to make sure it is free of PVC contamination.

FYI, here is my ANACS-graded AU-58 1917-S (reverse MM) Walker. My coin has a similar dark tone. The skirt lines are incomplete, although there is only light wear on the design high points and abundant luster shows through the toning.

? I don't see how this could go lower than an EF-40. If anything is keeping it down in grade, it would be lack of luster in my opinion.

Hi Johnny and Jaobler, thanks your inputs, much appreciated, was trying my newbie hand in grading, so I depended and referenced on the "coin facts" navigation key on this forum for this particular coin. There's a grading guide there when the year of this coin is opened.

Yes, I agree, it's an EF45 going to AU-50, Thanks!
