I recently picked up this set for about $35. It only had one War Nickel and no 1950-D, but it did have the 1939-D and a lot of the nickels were AU and Uncirculated. Any comments or advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

I like the old dansco album its in, but I would have thought some of the coins would have had more toning. Pretty decent pick up.

Do the Dansco folders produce less toning than the Dansco Albums?

Next purchase is 2x2 holders. You are off to a pretty good start. I am not a fan of those folders.
My philosophy is there are two sides to every coin, especially in my case, the Jefferson nickel.
Many coins get ugly on the side you don't see in these type folders.

Yeah that's a good idea, wheezydog. I'll probably get some 2x2's and then later maybe a Dansco.

I've heard of them but never really saw them at a shop. I guess I'll have to look closer next time.

Have you taken any of them out to look at the backs to see if any toning did occur?
