Just wondering, can you buy silver on ebay for below or at the current silver price?

Just started looking and I see one oz of silver going for 15 - 20 bucks, then shipping...

Is it worth buying silver on ebay?

Silver bullion always sells for more than its value plus tack on S&H on top of that.

You can often get rolls of modern silver coins (90% dimes, quarters, and halves) for right around melt or a little less. I would not recommend purchasing bullion on ebay for the reason that nds76 gave.

Older 90% silver sells for a premium in rolls but also have a higher collector value.

You need to compare the price you are paying with a bullion dealer. Most bullion silver will sell for less than a bullion dealer will sellit for.

Look at bulk mixed world coin, Aussie predecimal stuff, Aussie kookaburras, silver bars and any world silver that typically sells at bullion prices.
