I had an auction that ended April 22. The buyer didn't pay until supposedly May 1st. It's now May 11th and NO payment. I e-mailed the seller yesterday about it and no response. Should I take action?

I would send him a final notice e-mail through buyer contact on ebay and regular email contact, telling him he needs to respond within 24 hours or you will be forced to file a non paying bidder claim. That usually gets some kind of reply. If no reply, file the no pay claim.

nds

as irritating as this type of thing is , 10 days in the minimum for wait period . For mail delivery !!

some people dont check there emails, and sometimes emails even get sent to the spam folder.

How about getting the buyers info and calling first before filing a NPB on the buyer ?

Rick

I must admit that I always pay my wins within 24 hours (most of the time I pay as soon as I receive notification of win and total amount owing).

Like you I do not like people who delay payment until the last possible moment. I can undestand that some may not have ready cash but if they emailed me and state that they will pay in 5 days I have no problem. It is the ones that do not reply at all to your requests.

Maybe there should be penalty clause....ie add 2.5% each day after 3 days!

I'm not getting any responses from this seller. If there was a problem the seller should have contacted me but instead I get the silent treatment.
Rest in Peace

nds, I'm confused: are you the buyer or the seller? In your initial post, you said you were first the seller, then the buyer. Are you waiting for payment as you stated in your original post or did you pay for the item and are you waiting for the item?
