Nice - that's going to look good in the 7070 after you set it free from it's tomb!

Thanks all for your comments! I purchased it from typecoin for about a 15% discount outside of ebay. He was the same seller in which I ended the auction on the AU-53 1837 capped bust half dollar that he listed in error. Part of the discount was a result of that. It's funny that many of these types are selling well above RedBook value even in the auctions. Every time I try to bid on one, I just get massacred....and although typecoin is generally somewhat expensive, his prices on Seated dollar coinage are quite reasonable in comparison to most others.

I agree, I have looked at his auctions before and noticed many of them are on the high side, but some are listed for a reasonable price. I too have a few sellers I deal with regularly that will give discounts for ending it and paying outside ebay. Heck, I saved $50 on a coin I bought last week just by ending it early and not using paypal. ebay fees have become outrageous, thus I no longer sell in any kind of volume on ebay.

There's just no way around the fact that these Seated dollars don't come cheap. Two of the toughest coins in the 7070.

Yeah, I think they are by far the most expensive coins in low grade. Well, besides the gold. You can get a beat up VG classic head large cent for $40 or so, but a beat up Seated dollar will still usually run a couple hundred dollars.
