Well, I finally got a decent pic of this penny. I was trying to show 2 sizes of 1971 date variety but I couldn't find one. What do different size dates and mint marks on a coin mean? Is this penny a proof or San Francisco? (Sorry it took me so long to get a decent photo)

That's a completely normal 1971S business strike cent. There is no known date size difference for 1971 cents. The date size difference is on 1970S cents.
