I have heard this called a Pre-Cud Die Crack and a Retained Die Cud and would like to know the proper term. Thanks.

If it is a die crack from rim to rim, it would be called a Retained Cud. However, it looks like it might be a lamination peel and I cannot quite tell either way from the photo.

Looks like it was struck through some copper debris. If you peel it off (don't) the area in question will be lower.
