I would grade this coin MS65.

Echizento, you are one of the graders I respect the most on this Forum. Your grades are always spot on, and I always look forward to seeing what you have to say about these coins in the Grading Forum.

I would be very interested in your reasons about this coin's grading. Can you tell me your rationale why this coin would not be MS64, 65 or even 66? It certainly appears to be very original, frosty and virtually perfectly struck. (with just one or two small bag marks).

I am curious as to your thought process on this. (With all due respect. I want to learn.)

Actually that devit in the eagles breast effected the grade for me. Otherwise the coin would have been and MS-64+. Most have been a bad grading day for me. It's a beautiful coin.

This coin would certainly make MS64 or MS-65 without the mark on the eagles chest, it look to deep to not knock it down a point.
