I have another prediction...I'll wait and get mine at half price in two years, based on how the Jefferson set is doing...

Using that theory, what about how the Lincoln Silver Dollar did or is doing. Most are upset they did not buy any, Now, they are double the release date price!

I do not think anyone can be that good to "see"
the outcome of any coin, set, or collection, just my opinion....

Yes, but it's hard to say what will happen when the excitement wears off. Originally, plain edged Washington dollars were over 600 bucks, now they're 50-60 on fee-pay. The value of the Jefferson set has plummetted, and, unfortunatelly, I see the same thing happening for this set. Hope I'm wrong, however!

IMO, the Westward Journey Nickel series, was not marketed even close to what attention it should of received, the history that series came to celebrate was barley noticed.
I also believe that set will "awaken from a long sleep" and take it's place in some of the greats, just my opinion...
PS:Bryan, While I know( you have made it known, no secret)as to how you feel about the Lincoln Cents, I commend your choice to try an receive one of these pieces of History, that I feel will, price wise after the Mint sells out, go through the roof!

I have thought about getting another set sent to my Sisters address as well that way if they do happen to go through the roof, I will be able to sell one set and keep another just to leave to who ever gets my coins when I check out. Even though I don't like the series I am not a fool and know I am in the minority with the way I feel about those things. They are one coin every person knows what they are and what they are worth and you can collect a whole set and have less than $5.00 face value (well I may be exaggerating a little here)in your collection and no one will want to steal them if they break in your house

Morgans Dad, I know exactly what you are saying about the nickel and medal set. I don't remember what the issue price was but a few weeks ago I was carousing ebay very late at night (2-3am, I could not sleep!) and was able to pick up a set for around $7 + shipping, I know that they were up there in value for quit some time though. I hope this does not happen to this set!

Well, according to 99% of the people who posted an answer, were wrong, for that matter no one was close except maybe 2-people, seriously I am surprised it is still available....
