Now that the date for the Lincoln Coin and Chronicles Set is available,  Thanks to other members, who would like to give a guesstimate, in their opinion,on the amount of time it will take before this set sells out,  Yes, all 50,000 sweet looking sets gone...... I think they will sell out on the 15th. The first day of issue.
Coin collectors are not the only ones interested in this set. There are many collectors of Abe Lincoln memorabilia who will want it also.

My guess is a sell-out within 6 hours. I would be absolutely shocked if this set is still available on October 16th.

Same here. I also think it will sell out within hours of release. I have seen it happen before. I cant remember what product it was, but a couple years ago I sat by my computer and watched it sell out within minutes! Can anyone remember something like this?

In my opinion, I do not believe the technology of the system the Mint uses, will be that efficient, too slow to accomplish 50,000 sets( being 1-per house hold ) in that short of a time frame.That means they must take 50,000 orders between the phone and the on line catalog ordering process.Also I would bet even though the Mint has had ample time to put this set together, I would not be surprised if they tell us "the set is back ordered".
I would like to be able to get a set, then they can sell out, LOL....

I also think this Set will sell out in about 4 or 5 hours on the 15th.
And I hope I'm lucky enough to be one of the fortunate few to get one as well !

So basically it is the packaging that is limited and will be selling out. Even though I have all these coins already, I still think I will try to get a set. I think they will sell out with in hours as well...

I hate to ask ... but I went to the mint web page to see what you are talking about "Lincoln Coin and Chronicles Set " and did not see what you all are talking about. Did you get something in the mail?
I would like to have a chance to order one of these sets ...

I do not think it will sell out on the first day. The US Mint can not process 50K orders in one day. I say three business days.

It "is" on the U.S. Mints website.....you just need to click on "Product Schedule" and then click the "coming soon" catagory. It has been listed there with an Oct. 15th release date for a couple of weeks or so now.
