I purchased this coin at a coin show in Charlotte. I looked on the VAM site but cant figure out which one it is. what do you need a close up on to help me. I can tell it it has the broken are in trust and I think its a open 9. Just let me know what else you need.

Sure looks like the "completely broken" TIUST version, which should look like this:

1879-S-With-Reverse-Of-1878

If so, it's narrowed down to VAM-6 (Open 9) or VAM-46 (Closed 9).

Nice coin, either way.
