I found this and was wondering if its just Machine Doubling.

I don't think it's a doubled die.
That thin smearing of A,D,G looks like MD to me. Also, see how "blobby" the top serifs on letters like the "N"?
That's probably excessive die wear, aka " Die Deterioration". That might explain the "R"

thanks. I think I might keep it anyway. I like Machine Doubling too for some reason. :)
