What time (eastern time) is the best time to end an auction, and are certain days better than other days?

I'm currently ending my auctions between 5:30pm and 6pm eastern time.

If you buy coins on ebay, when do you do your ebay shopping?

Mondays have been good to me around 10 PM to 11 PM. What I would do is prepare all mine and schedule them for like a month away.
Then around 10 PM on a Monday night I would go in and revise my scheduled listing, change the schedule to not scheduled ( un-click box ) and start it. If I had 10 or 20 auctions scheduled, it would have them starting and ending a few minutes apart so I would get little bidding wars as they end so people would buy lots to have ship together and save on shipping,

I always heard Sundays were the best time around 8:30-9:30 EST because everyone is off work, and everyone has already gotten home from Church and its before they have to go to bed to get up the next morning for work

I think that studies have shown that between 9:00 and 10:00 PM on Sunday is the best time to finish up an auction. The majority of folks are in their homes and not out and about on Sunday evenings. The 9:00 to 10:00 PM time slot has most easterners still awake while westerners (6:00 to 7:00) are moving from the dinner table to their TVs...or PCs. I have had my greatest successes on Sunday evenings but normally choose to end on Saturday evening...the 2nd best time, accordin to studies. Finishing up on Sunday puts me in the position of feeling obligated to ship on Monday morning, which is often impractical for ME. If I finish on Saturday then I have all day Sunday to prepare shipments and my buyer sees that I shipped as soon as I possibly could, given the closing day.

I have never had any problems with shipping because I usually have in my auctions that I will ship between 1 and 2 business days after the auction ends and payment is sent if using paypal or when the funds clear my bank if another way

Bryan: Mine say that, too, but I always feel obligated to ship on the first possible day. I just have that 1 to 2 business day thing in there as a hedge against a piano falling on me out of the blue...
