Looks promising. I find the EPU the most interesting. (next to last image)

Ever wonder why next to last image and the last image are not the same color? I have a theory on that if your interested?

coop, What's your theory?, I'm interested. Also what do you think about the possible trails on the date and on the building?

The date/building could just be fading die scratches. If they were trails on the date, the 1's in the date would show it. The Building could be fading die scratches for the rolling lines on the planchet. They seem to flow across the whole reverse of the coin.

Different colors of images. Do you use a ramp when taking images of close up shots? The first image that is the right color is in the position to let the light reach the eyepiece with the correct color. When you took the second image, you turned the ramp directing the correct light away from the eye piece. Solution? Keep the ramp in the correct position, rotate the coin, not the ramp. That is what I've found true with my setup. Here is an image of my setup:
1991-LMC-Trail-Dies? Note the position of the light at 12:00 from the coin and the ramp highest point is at 6:00. If I turn the ramp away from 6:00, the images get dark cause the target for the light misses the eyepiece. See if that helps?

Here is a trail die I found. Not the consistency of the trails NE of EPU.

Here are some images from a fellow poster to show the same consistency of the trails.

Thanks coop for the tips, I will try them. Just for the record, the reason my last photo has no color is because I did not color correct it like I did for the previous one. I thought the colorless pix showed the trails better.
