I just found a 1903 Six Pence coin from Great Britain while searching through a $50.00 bag of Lincoln Cents I purchased from my local bank
(coin counting machine).

What would be the value in US Dollars? Its soaking in acetone right now to try and get some of the tarnish off of it as at first I thought is was a copper coin, but its really silver!

Thanks for any help.

1903 is not a rare year, however what I have observed, British coins has gone up much more than what they used to be back a couple of years before. The global rule applies, the price goes up when the condition goes up. But this is an exciting find, I never get the chance to find such nice conis, I just sometimes find Euro coins in circulation here.

That's 7 pounds? Big difference, since if I'm correct it was only $2.75 in Fine in my 1996 Krause.

Thanks for all the info!

*Regarding price difference according to the site listed by nancyc, its dated June 2009*

That's a 13 year difference from the 1996 Krause reference of $2.75.

Maybe GB coin values have increased substantially the past 13 years?
