I finally found the rest of my dads collection hiding in the basement!
Quite a few things inside:

-Proof and uncirculated sets from like '88 till 2008

-Ben Franklin Firefighter Silver Medal 1992 I think

-1997 1/10oz platinum proof American Eagle coin

-1990 (my birthyear : P) 1/10oz Gold Bullion Coin

-American Eagle Silver coins for a lot of dates, probably about 10 boxes

-1987 Constitution Coin - in box

-1986 Liberty Coins x 2 - in box

-Couple of walkers, ben franks, and jfk silver coins

-Prescription bottles filled with decades of wheats

-1900,1880, 1897 morgan 1/2 dollar in pretty good condition

-1922 Peace dollar

Pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and halves from the "silver years" and earlier in little plastic 2x2in packet individuals

Unfinished Whitman Books for each (with silver inside)

whew, some more things but too numerous to account for

Anyone got any idea to keep an eye out for?

Second question is, has anyone heard of Littleton Coin Company (havent googled it yet) as most of these pre packaged coins I spoke of came from there.

Littleton has been around for years! I purchased a couple of things from them back in 1974 (I was 12). Popular consensus is that they are pretty high priced nowadays!

You should be able to buy a RedBook at any major bookstore or coin shop. You could probably get the 2010 ed. on ebay for around $10-$12.

Usually can find them there! Make sure you get the " Red Book" (A Guide Book of United States coins). There are other red colored books available. This is the one you want, this is a spiral bound (easier to use) but a hardcover is available!

The coins should be taken out of the medicine bottles if they are tinted. They accumulate moisture.

Never heard that one before! Probably some logic behind it. I've got some stuff that I collected as a kid in the mid seventies stored in brown medicine bottles and haven't had a problem with them! I'll admit that it's not the best storage option out there, But hey, I don't have to wade through water to get to the coins!

Im pretty sure medicine bottles are ok to store in because of the locking feature. Obviously if you open them up on a humid day or a moisture is in the bottle before you seal it damage will occur. I was still pulling a less than proof quality coins which have been sitting in the bottles in a basement for about 10 years.

Anywho I took the coins out anyway and separated by decade and put into corresponding baggies for maybe future sales?

I checked with a coin dealer and they said they accumulate moisture. It is the tint on the bottle that makes the contents inside moist. It will not hurt them immediately, but over time, it will.

I don't suggest that everybody store coins in prescription bottles, but I've been saving common "S" mint Lincolns in one since I was 12 years old. I guess 35 years isn't long enough! I'll let everybody know when some moisture shows up in this vintage tinted prescription bottle!

Got the RedBook and looked through a bunch of stuff. Nothing out of the ordinary price wise. Most of the dimes, quarters, and wartime nickels are only slightly higher priced than their silver value so meh hehe! Something I was not expecting was a bunch of the 90's silver eagles proof values are wayyyy higher than what it cost to buy so I guess thats a good investment!
