i found this while I was running in Kansas on some back roads, don't know what it is, please help.

Without denomination or lettering, I would guess it's an arcade token...especially if around the size of a quarter.

well its a little bit bigger then a quarter like the quarter can fit inside the rim of the coin

thank you and I was trying to look it up and I saw another coin like it from iceland almost the same on the front side just different shield

Yep, it's a generic "stock token".

The only text on it are the initials "RWM". This is the "mintmark" for the Roger Williams Mint, an Ohio-based token manufacturing company now assimilated by Tokens Direct.

Wreaths are a common feature on coins from all over the world, but if you look at what's left of their website, you'll notice that the old company logo (with the pilgrim-head in the centre) used a wreath with the exact shape (leaves, ribbon, etc) as the one on your token.

All their modern tokens now bear the "TD" mintmark of the parent company.
