Hi all,
Looking thru some of my stash and found this 58 that look's to be a 017. I've seen pic's of this RPM and alway's wondered why this is classified as one
I've seen other coin's that look like they should be a rpm but are just a crack or something! Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining because I'll grab any RPM I can find

Looks like a RPM in LDS to me. Don't know how the pros make that call.

It's listed as an RPM because that line you see stretching to the north of the mintmark is the vertical bar of another mintmark punching. That has been determined by viewing a coin in much earlier die state that yours, where more detail of this blunder is apparent.

Thank's CC.
I often wondered about that!
