Ghost Image In A Cent - Coin Community Forum

KisNap Valued Member United States 462 Posts	Posted 10/22/2009 9:54 pm I was going through some cents and came across this one. At first it looked normal, but then I saw what looked like a ghost image of the memorial that was slightly to the right of the full struck memorial. I also think I see very faint vertical lines between the columns. Am I seeing things or is there actually something there? What is it? Report this Post to the Staff

At one time they were strong, but with continued use of the die, they flatten until they disappear altogether or remain as waves in that area on later die states. When they are next to devices, they sometimes remain a lot longer than just in the fields. Report this Post to the Staff
