Looks like it came from cent on the reverse. I can't believe its gone unclaimed or uncollected for 30 years.

Nice Cud. I haven't seen one that big. I have about 10 of them from roll searching. They are all smaller then that.

Wow! Lucky find man...I have yet to find a Cud in my hours upon hours of roll hunting.

The "missing" area on the reverse is the lack of an obverse die in that area to cause the pressure that would fill in the details on the reverse. Very normal for a Cud, and actually one of the characteristics to look for in determining that it's genuine. Very nice find! After about 30 years of digging through cents, I have still never found one that large.
