Entered My First Coin Exhibit Today...

ziggy9 Valued Member United States 499 Posts	Posted 10/24/2009 11:11 pm Hi, I just got back from the show in Manchester NH today where I entered my first show. I entered a single case display that featured the 1982 doubled die reverse. The display consisted of the coin in its slab, surrounded by high def photos of all the details, and text describing the discovery and publishing of the find. The exhibits were less than expected with just 5 of the 10 scheduled exhibitors showing. There was a display of love tokens and coins as jewelry, one of german and austrian shooting medals, one fo medals by Bovey, one of New England Town Anniversary Medals, and mine. My exhibit won Best of Show, with the prize being a silverplate platter engraved "2009 NENA BEST OF SHOW-ELLIOT GOLDBERG", a New England Numismatic Association exhibitor medal, amd a 2005 $5 gold piece.
