sorry to bug you guys again about my Trade dollar issues, but I bought this Trade dollar and I figured that it had to be real since its graded. Is there a chance that this one is fake too, if you do not think it is fake can you give me a ball park figure to what you think its worth so I can see if I got a good deal. thanks

I would say it's original! I'll let the pros take it, but I would trust the slab, ANACS is one of the more trusted TPG's.

No one could tell you how much it can possibly be worth because the eagle is on the reverse and the level of engraving can affect its value in a negative way. It should be genuine in an ANACS slab but it will still be altered and damaged and worth much less than an undamaged example.

Could you post a pic of the reverse? I'd be interested in seeing the engraving.

Almost certainly real - ANACS is certainly capable of determining authenticity for a Trade dollar. "Eagle engraved" indicates an attempt to raise the apparent grade of the coin by tooling to replace details which have been worn away, and as biokemist said, it's difficult to estimate true value because the degree of tooling isn't known. Cleaned/scratched examples which are Net graded around VF30 tend to go in the $75-100 range; this coin would likely be in there somewhere.

Ouch Someone didn't try to reengrave feathers, they carved a shield out of the eagle's breast

Yeah, they must of thought that there was originally a shield over the eagle's breast...OOPS! Other than that it is a nice coin, but definitely greatly devalued.
