i was going through a garage sale bin with mixed foriegn coins, and found pretty much nothing, untill.... I dug all the way to the bottom and found a maine commemorative half! It's in real nice condition too!
dealer told me au55. I only paid a dollar!! it has a real nice deep brown color to it.

( I would take pics, but I have no digital camera at the time :()

Very cool. I have yet to find a good score like that. I have stumbled on some old baseball/football cards (used to collect as a teen) that were in good shape and worth a decent amount but nothing with coins.

Congratulations on a great find. You have to love those occasional garage sale surprises. A few years back I found a 1879 Morgan dollar, it only set me back a quarter.

Wow, great find! My wife and I go sporadically but rarely see any coins for sale, U.S. or worldwide for that matter.
