It is called "phishing"--
These low lying scum-bags are trying to get your information so they can hijack your bank account and wipe you out. For other they use your account to rip off others in any scam they can get away with--

I get these emails all the time--I usually respond to these dildos with vulgar, nasty, bad, insulting language in the areas they ask for private info--After that they stop sending me their garbage--I also report & let paypal, and or ebay know the details at the legit website and let them try to catch these creeps--
It is surprising that this stuff keeps going on, obviously it has worked well for these worms, so they continue to phish--
Rest in Peace

I receive ten to fifteen of these phishing messages per week and have long since given up responding to them with Army talk and reporting them to their respective companies - just too much time down the drain. As long as a single person responds to a phishing message by clicking onto their phony hyperlinks and logging into the fake site, expecially if that one person has a fat account, they will continue to send out their spam... and prosper.
