What do you think on this 99 LMC- Valid doubling of the FG initials or MD?

Sharp looking details on the FG initials and the right base of the Memorial either way!

John1:

Thanks for your input.

I just got a positive attribution from Mike Diamond over at the Lincoln Cent Resource Forum

Its Machine Doubling.

I'm going to keep this one, since its a real nice example of Machine Doubling, as a future reference point!

Definate MD. There is some more MD on the bottom of the memorial also.

Must of been a long night for you Chuck, or some tired eyes, you usually nail em right!

Yep, valid doubling, machine that is. Not a doubled die.

The base tells me the whole story. The Machine Doubling is in the same direction there as on the FG.

Kloccwork419:

Thanks.

I was pretty sure it was MD, but did you ever get a coin when there was just that little hesitance/uncertainty about it?

Since I had the actual coin, certain positions made me second guess my original feelings on it.

Well, its a good coin for educational purposes now!
